How it all started

Long dog walks and equally long chats in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland was the catalyst for The Lane Events. As a group of friends who are passionate about where we live, our dream was to promote the talents of local businesses, creatives and artisans by planning and organising unique events which would showcase their work.

Fiona and Paul Steadman, who initially set up The Lane as a wedding planning business, shared a love of farmers and makers markets with friends Nick McGann & Billie Rowan-Russell. With a wealth of experience in Marketing, Project Management, PR, and Live Event Production, The Lane team was born.

Our first event was Stirling’s very own Christmas Market. We loved the idea of bringing together local business while at the same time getting the people of Stirling out and about, enjoying our city at Christmas. We were so blown away by the success of the event, which had 60 stallholders and was attended by more than 1,200 people, that we decided to make it an annual event. And so our story began….

But we want to offer more than just a Christmas Market, and plan to bring an array of markets and other events to Stirling. So if you’re interested in food, drink, beautiful gifts, music and want to support our local businesses and home grown talent, then "like" our facebook page The Lane Events and make sure you don’t miss out.
